In reply to Gustaaf. There's no potatoes used in the recipe. Breadcrumbs might be better to prevent the tikkis from breaking and also provide the crispy coating.

I tried this, it’s become a part of my weekly menu, standout recipe , i only used breadcrumbs nothing else for binding and I added a small portion of chopped mint and a finely chopped green chilli
